Görsel iletişim alanında dünya çapında bilinirliği olan Getty Images, dünyanın yeteri kadar temsil edilememiş topluluklarının Instagramüzerinden hikayelerini paylaşan fotoğrafçıları desteklemek amacıyla yarışma başlatacağını duyurdu.
Başvuruları 4 Haziran’a kadar alınacak olan yarışmanın üç kazananı Eylül ayında açıklanacak ve kazananlar 10.000 doların yanında, Getty-Images’ın dünya çapındaki fotoğrafçılarından mentorluk hakkı da kazanacak. Bunun yanında kazananlar New York’ta yapılan Photoville Fotoğrafçılık Festivali'ne davet edilecek ve işleri sergilenecek.
Adayların Instagram fotoğrafları, fotoğrafların kalitesi, fotoğraflar üzerinden anlatılan hikayelere göre önemli isimlerin yer aldığı jüri tarafından değerlendirilecek. Başvurmak isteyenler, başvurularını buradan yapabilir, yarışma hakkında sık sorulan sorulara ise buradan ulaşabilirler.
Dünyanın birçok farklı bölgesinden fotoğrafçıların özgün ve benzersiz paylaşımları, normalde çoğumuzun göremeyeceği yerlere dikkati çekmeyi başarıyor. Bu yarışma da, hem yetenekleri gizli kalmış fotoğrafçılar, hem de kıyıda köşede gizlenen kültürler için değerli.
Today we’re launching the Getty Images Instagram Grant, in collaboration with @Instagram, to support photographers using Instagram to document stories from underrepresented communities around the world. This grant intends to support emerging voices, outside the mainstream media, who are creating projects of social importance. Share your work and apply at gtty.im/grants. Have someone else in mind? Encourage photographers you follow or know to apply for the grant— spread the word using #GettyImagesInstagramGrant. Applications will be accepted until June 4, 2015, at 11:59 p.m. GMT. All entrants are required to complete the online application at gtty.im/grants to be considered by the judges: @kirapollack, @malinfezehai, @maggiesteber, @dguttenfelder and @ramintalaie.
